My Reading Goal

Celebrating Earth Day
WALT consistently read to understand the meaning of the text.

Sophisticated
having, revealing, or involving a great deal of worldly experience and knowledge of fashion and culture.
That’s a very Sophisticated answer!

The 22 of April is earth day, people celebrate earth day by teaming with people all over the world to do things to make the world a better place.

NASA got over six-hundred images of earth in colours, using Terra the satellite.

Terra has captured images of Korea’s hundred year drought, Iceland’s volcanic eruption, California's bushfires and the aftermaths of the floods of Pakistan.

The harmful lifestyle habit that I’m going to get rid of is eating less plastic wrapped food at home and in public.

Cross Country Poem

                          Cross Country Poem
    Wednesday 18 May 2016

The Cross Country event was usual enough; it had the people from Oaklands, the flapping flags, the tall trees, the thousands of cones, and even the leaves that rustled in the wind.

My classmates and I did what kids do-
mucked around in the runners den,
                                                  made each other feel calm,
                                                    cheered for the runners,
gave my friends high five’s as they ran by,
                                                       devoured our food,
                                                   caring for my exhausted,
                                                    doing my loudest cheer.
